I'm the 3rd of six daughters and learned how to help around the house from an early age.   The first cake I baked from scratch was about 1/2 inch high and topped with icing I had tinted a horrible shade of purple.    It was dry, tough and perfectly un-edible.

Fortunately for my family, friends, and you, a lot has changed since then. Baking is my passion, along with being a Gigi (no calling me grandma), a wife and a mom. This first years has gone by so quickly and now Jake will be turning 2 in June and Maddox will be one in just a couple of months.  I sure hope those little boys love chocolate chip cookies like their Gramps because I'm planning to teach them all of my secrets.
